Recognising their outstanding scientific excellence and presentation skills, keynote speakers have been invited to give an overview lecture to the entire audience on their specialised topic. One keynote lecture of 30 minutes per day will be presented in the plenary hall as part of a plenary session. See more information here.

Plenary sessions will include oral presentations of 20 minutes by presenters selected by the scientific committee based on their submitted abstracts. One presenter per session will be given 30 minutes as a „highlight plenary talk“ based on the significance and excellence of the presented work. More information will be published in due course.
3 parallel sessions will feature oral presentations of 20 minutes dedicated to specific topics of the Clay Conference 2024. See more information here.
Posters will be presented by their authors within dedicated poster sessions after lunch with space and time for discussions. All posters will stay available for viewing on the poster boards for the entire duration of the conference. See more information here.

Outstanding science presented on the posters by the future generation of clay-radwaste scientists will be presented to the entire conference audience in a round of 10 flash talks per day at the end of the plenary session just before lunch in the plenary hall from Monday to Wednesday (Nov 25-27). The 30 highest ranked presenters will be notified in advance and need to prepare supporting slides for their flash talk. See more information here.

The social programme of the Clay Conference 2024 will feature an icebreaker event at HCC to kick off the conference, a networking event around the posters on Monday evening and a conference dinner on Tuesday evening. The Clay Conference 2024 will be supplemented by an unprecedented scientific support programme consisting of introductory lectures to kick-off the conference, workshops and technical visits to laboratories and installations of BGE and BGR.
